A safe sandy beach combines with beautiful mountain views that rise 1000 feet above the water. Unbelievably warm water awaits you in one of the most protected bays of Lake Superior. Miller's Chalet on Haviland Bay is located on the most inland part of Batchawana Bay, just one half hour north of Sault Ste. Marie. The accomodation is new, clean, and completely smoke-free. The chalet sleeps six people in three large bedrooms. The massive master bedroom offers a cathedral ceiling, private balcony, and en-suite toilet/vanity. The kitchen is fully equipped, just like home. The living room includes a cozy gas fire-place. The laundry room has a washer and dryer. There are decks all around with lounge chairs and picnic table. The property includes a pedal-boat, barbeque, camp-fire, and swing set.
The area is ideal for kayaking, bicycling, hiking, and swimming. It is also the perfect place for just plain relaxing. We are only a few hundred yards from a marina and boat-launch. The Agawa Canyon Rail Tour starts nearby. The Sault Lock Tours are availble in Sault Ste. Marie. It is just a short drive to Lake Superior Provincial Park with miles of protected shoreline, hiking trails, waterfalls, and historic native pictographs. We are just five minutes from Stokely Creek Cross Country Ski Resort, one of the largest purpose-built cross country ski areas in North America, offering over 100 km of groomed trails. The Searchmont Ski Resort (750' vertical) is also nearby, offering some of the best downhill skiing in the Midwest.
